Happy New Year! Severed Fifth Album Coming February 3rd!!

Well, it has been a long and hard year. I'm proud to announce that our first full length album is finished! We will be releasing it on Feb. 3rd along with playing a record release show at Club Cocomo in SF w/ Ulysys Siren and (one of my all time favorites from the good ol' days) My Victim!

We will be giving away free CDs of the new album at the show, along with some other prizes that will be announced at the show.

I'm also very happy to announce that my good friend and manager from Defiance, Tambre Bryant, has agreed to take on the business end for Severed Fifth going forward! This is a huge gain for us and for the SF Army! We now have someone to make sure we not only do the right things, but someone who frees us up to just concentrate on the music....and isn't that what this is all about?

I hope all of you have a safe and happy New Years celebration. Looking forward to seeing you all at our upcoming shows in 2012!

Updates and New HD Video of Severed Fifth Live in SF!

Hey Everybody,
I haven't posted here in a long time.  I just wanted to let everyone know that Severed Fifth is moving ahead at full speed, getting ready to record our album this coming Feb..

We also have a show on Jan 22nd with Skinlab at the UPTOWN in Oakland, CA.  It will be a kick to be doing a show with my old Defiance buddy Steev again.  It has been a really long time.

My new band Severed Fifth just played a show at MADHOUSE in SF a couple of weeks ago.  The show was a lot of fun, and we got this really killer HD video of our opening song..

New Band for Jim Adams!



Hey Y'all!
I just wanted to let everybody know that I've got a new band I'm doing called Miscellaneous (Misc. for short). The band features 4 of the 5 members from Freeload (Perry Strickland, Josh Armstrong, Shad Gibson and myself) playing all new tunes that we are writing at the moment.

We already have 4 or 5 tunes mostly in the bank...and that is only after 3 rehearsals. I've just completed the rough drafts on a brand new website. Please check it out if you can...and keep checking back, as we have lots of plans to improve on the base of what I've got so far.

While Parker may not be a household name in the metal circles, they have been one of the finest guitar manufacturers for over 20 years, and I'm very excited to be associated with them.

New Defiance Album Artwork and Track Listing Revealed!



STUNNING RETURN TO FORM FROM THRASH METAL LEGENDS DEFIANCE!!!

Reformed after a 15 year hiatus, bay area thrashers Defiance return with The Prophecy. Currently featuring vocalist Steev Esquivel (Skinlab), guitarist Jim Adams, bassist Mike Kaufmann and drummer Mark Hernandez (Vio-lence, Forbidden), the band recorded the album in San Francisco and in early interviews Kaufmann confirmed, we always felt the band broke up too early so we plan to use this opportunity to pick up where we left off. Formed in 1985 Defiance recorded their first record in 1988. Product of Society (Roadrunner) was produced by Jeff Waters (Annihilator) and immediately found the band an impressive worldwide audience. Beyond Recognition, the bands third and last album was released in 1992. In 2005 the band finally regrouped after years of requests from fans. The band signed with Candlelight in late 2008 and immediately set to work.



The Prophecy will be released on Candlelight records 19th of October in Europe
